Wayne Whyte
20th June 1987 – 18th March 2007

It was a cold March morning
When someone called to say
That god had wanted our darling Wayne
And had taken him away
The tears did flow from are eyes
Our hearts were low and sore
To understand your not with us
And we wont see you anymore
No more we’ll see your lovely smile
Or those mischievous eyes of blue
And we’ll never have another friend
Like the one we had in you
If even just to watch you play another football game
We’ll close our eyes and imagine everything’s the same
We pray that you are happy now in gods holy hand
And that you are watching over us from his peaceful loving land
We pray that you are watching over us
Until we meet again but its living here without you that causes all the pain
And now its time to say goodbye and lead you to your sleep
But we’ll hold you in are hearts forever Wayne
Our cherished memories of you to keep
Slan go foil mo chara
Just for a while we’ll not have your joke or your smile
And in years to come your memory still true
Goodbye our dear friend we’ll not forget you!
