9 September 2012
Welcome to the Second PIPS Newry & Mourne 10k road race that will take place on Sunday 9th September 2012 at 11am. The scenic, flat, traffic-free road / track route is open to all abilities and is an excellent course for people looking to complete an easy flat 10k or for the runner who is chasing a personal best time.
The 10k road race is offering a chip timing and results service so all runners will be able to see their chip time (from when you cross the start line to the finish line). There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male & female runners and all participants will perceive medals
The Race is based at the Sculpt Fitness Studio, Carnbane Industrial Estate, Newry with ample free car parking opposite.
With scenic views around the towpath & canal area, it is an ideal opportunity to bring your friends and family down to one of the regions most enjoyable running event.
Last years event attracted over 400 participants and the event is organised each year to coincide with World Suicide Awareness Day which is held on the 10th September each year
