An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at PIPS Hope & Support as a Counsellor based in Newry.

As a PIPS Hope & Support Counsellor you will develop, coordinate and provide crisis and bereavement support, counselling and information for clients, families and carers. An excellent communicator is required, who is skilled in highly complex and difficult situations and who has a good knowledge of suicide ideation, self-harm and trauma. It's essential that the successful candidate has a Counselling Qualification at minimum diploma level. Up to date registration and accreditation with (BACP) or equivalent professional body is also required.

Another aspect of the role required is to provide ongoing support and line management to our team of sessional and volunteer counsellors, supporting and monitoring their caseload.
