Pictured at the Kitty's Road Community Centre where a cheque for  £2371.79 was presented by the Friends of Kitty's Road to PIPS Newry and Mourne.

Receiving the cheque were Helen Woods and Peter Walsh of Pips Newry and Mourne.

The money was raised at a coffee morning and cake sale as well as a balloon launch on saturday 26th July and the group would like to thank all those who supported their fundraising

St Mary's High School
St. Mary's High School, Newry
Sr Regina (Former Vice Principal of St. Mary’s High School) visits the school on a daily basis and collects money for various charities.  This takes place during lunch time when Sr Regina collects change from the students.  Some students collect copper coins at home and bring them in for the relevant charities.

Sr Regina very kindly selected PIPS Newry & Mourne as one of the Charities this year and donated £100.00.

A donation made by Glen Electrics the amount raised was £418.20.

It was collected by the staff of Glen Electrics Greenbank Industrial Estate, Newry for PIPS Newry & Mourne.

The money was raised by the Office Staff who organised a Table Quiz.

PIPS Newry and Mourne would also like to extend their thanks to BE Aerospace for donating a computer to our new Office.

Deeply saddened and aware that suicide is not an isolated occurrence in Northern Ireland, two members of Staff from Dromore High School Mrs Amy Flanagan and Mrs Jocelyn Anderson decided to make a positive gesture to help raise awareness of this problem.  At the end of last term they organised to sell flower arrangements at the School Production ‘Grease’ and raised over £160.00.  This was then very kindly rounded up to £200.00 by the Headmaster Mr John Wilkinson.

Banna Fliuit Naoimh Phadraig Flute Band - Kilkeel held a fancy dress Football Match and raised a total of £1400.

The Bucket Boys ran through Kilkeel raising money during the Day of the Event and thenin the evening a disco was held. 

Total Money Raised from the Disco and Street was £4763.23.

Held in the Bank Bar Sunday 26th August 2007 was a tribute Night organised by friends of Seamas McCabe. Featuring Local Bands a great night was had by all who attended!

The Lap the Lough Cycle Sunday 26th August 2007

Roibeard Stewart of the Slieve Gullion Wheelers completed the Lap the Lough Cycle, the cycle was held on Sunday 26th August and was approx 95 miles. 

The cycle kicked off at 9am and took some of the quieter roads into Portadown in order to cross the Bann river. From there the route headed towards Maghery, Ardboe, Ballyronan, Toome, Randalstown, Antrim, Glenavy and back to Kinnego.

It was a good day and had a big turnout. Roibeard would like to thank all of his friends, family and members of the Fegan/Quinn Sinn Fein Cumann Derrymore for their support.

PIPS N&M would also like to offer our thanks to everyone who generously supported Roibeard who managed to raise £410 for our charity.  This is Roibeard’s 2nd fundraising event for PIPS Newry and Mourne and we would like to especially thank him for all his hard work and support.

Football Fundraiser held in Oriel Park, Dundalk

Football Fundaiser in Oriel Park, Dundalk

In May 2007 a Football match was held in Oriel Park, Dundalk in order to receive funds for PIPS Newry and Mourne. Bellurgan V The Jockey's participated in an evenful game. A total of £2000 was raised and a great match and night's fun was had by all involved!

Domic Kirwin - Irish Country and western Singer!

Dominic Kirwin - Irish Country and Western Singer

Internationally renowned Irish Country and Western Singer Dominic Kirwin is pictured donating £5000 to PIPS Newry and Mourne.

Funds were raised on Dominic's website by fans of the singer and alos by Dominic's wife and her friend who took part in the Womens' Dublin City Mini Marathon 2006
