Climbing Kilimanjaro Gerry Coyle from Dromalane (pictured left) with Seamus McCabe of PIPS Newry and Mourne. In September 2009 Gerry will set about the challenge of climbing the worlds highest free standing mountaion in aid of PIPS Newry & Mourne. When Gerry reaches the summit he will place the banner of PIPS Newry & Mourne in the ground as a signal of his achievement and to raise awareness of the issues effecting suicide. Gerry has currently had a number of fundraising events to help raise funds for the project. Whilst Gerald O Hare from Parker Green (The Quays), has also provided monetary support and assistance to help Gerry in his challenge.

Princes Trust (Newry) The volunteers also took part in a Fundraising Bag Pack for PIPS Newry & Mourne in Sainsburys, The Quays, Newry. Sainsburys have nominated PIPS Newry and Mourne as their Official Charity for 2009. |
